Krissy Guess for Texas

Meet Krissy

My name is Krissy Guess, and I’m a proud Texas mom, business leader, and lifelong advocate for fairness, opportunity, and accountability. I’m 44 years old, a mother of three daughters, and I’ve been married for 25 years to my high school sweetheart, a public school teacher who has served our community for the past 14 years. Public education isn’t an abstract issue in our household—it’s our daily reality.

I was born and raised here in Texas House District 60, and now I’m raising my family here. I didn’t set out planning to run for office, but I reached a point where I felt I couldn’t look my daughters in the eye if I didn’t try to make our community safer, stronger, and full of opportunity for their generation.

I graduated as valedictorian of Azle High School in 2000, earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Tarleton State University in 2004, and later completed my MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. For more than two decades, I’ve worked at Litex Industries, a Texas-based lighting manufacturer and distributor in Grand Prairie, where I now oversee operations. That experience has given me a clear understanding of how policy decisions affect workers, families, and local businesses.

I’m running because government should work for people—not corporations, special interests, or political insiders.

As the mother of three daughters, women’s health is deeply personal to me. Every woman deserves access to safe, affordable healthcare, including preventive care, maternal healthcare, and the services needed to protect their long-term health and well-being. Texas families deserve policies that support mothers before, during, and after pregnancy, expand access to doctors and healthcare providers, and protect access to fertility treatments like IVF for families struggling to have children.

We must also confront the growing shortage of maternal healthcare in communities across our state and the troubling reality that Texas ranks last in maternal health outcomes among U.S. states. Mothers and babies deserve better, and improving maternal care must be a priority.

I will fight for strong public schools, accessible healthcare, fair wages, secure voting rights, and an economy that rewards hard work instead of corporate influence.

I’m not a career politician—I’m a Texas mom who decided it was time to step up and fight for the future our families deserve.
